R&B singer Emani 22 was honored on social media after she reportedly died at age 22 in Los Angeles, though her passing has not been verified.
While her family has yet to confirm her death, the Sun reported that rumors are circulating online that she may have been involved in a car crash.
“This doesn’t even feel real. I used to spend almost everyday with you. You taught me so many things. You are my inspiration for many things (hair, nails, style, etc) my big sister,” the artist wrote. “I’m gonna miss you so much.”
She shared a photo of the two of them together Monday evening, plus another of Johnson with Bhabie’s dog, captioned, “Chuppas favorite auntie.”
Bhabie’s comments section flooded with condolences from fans, who said they were “so sorry” for her loss and offered for Johnson to “rest easy.”
Some people, however, cracked jokes and laughed at the 18-year-old rapper’s social media posts, mocking her tribute to a dear friend.
“I don’t understand why people laughing,” responded one of the artist’s fans. “This s–t ain’t no joke she lost someone she was close to let her grieve in peace.”
Following Bhabie’s posts, Johnson’s Instagram page received an onslaught of condolences in the comments.
“Rest in heaven babygirl,” wrote singer S3nsi Molly.
“So sad,” added musician Chris Scholar. “Rest in love.”
Music producer Jarred Jermaine was in shock, writing, “I can’t believe this.”
Other friends of Johnson’s posted on social media to honor and grieve her, including her friend known as @alannatheballer on Instagram.

She recalled a few stories about Johnson in the caption and said she loved her for how “bold” she was, adding that she always looked out for her friends. She vowed to keep her memory alive at the end of the post.
Another friend of Johnson’s known as Baby Goth also shared pictures on Instagram of the two of them in tribute.
“I can’t believe this is real. You were there for me since the beginning,” she wrote. “You were a beacon in the dark and you had so so much more to give this world this is so unfair. I love you and I’ll miss you Emani.”
