Ford is recalling 200,000 pickup trucks and SUVs due to a brake problem

Ford is recalling 195,864 pickups and SUVs in the United States because the master cylinder may leak braking fluid, reducing stopping power.

Certain 2016-2018 Ford F-150 trucks, 2016-2017 Ford Expeditions, and Lincoln Navigator SUVs equipped with the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine option are included in the recall.

According to the NHTSA report, drivers should see a warning light before braking performance is impaired, but if the problem is not rectified, they will notice a change in brake feel and a drop in front brake efficacy.

Ford has already recalled the F-150 twice for the same problem, which has resulted in four low-speed collisions but no casualties.

On April 25, owners who are affected will be notified of the recall.
