Carolina Panthers rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn could be sidelined up to three months with a broken foot, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Horn suffered multiple broken bones in his foot during Thursday’s 24-9 win over the Houston Texans. He exited in the third quarter with a non-contact injury to his right foot and was taken to the locker room on a golf cart.

The eighth-overall pick was named a starter this year and has played a significant role in Carolina’s top-ranked defense. In three games this season, he has one interception, one pass defensed and five tackles.

Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey also suffered a hamstring injury during Thursday’s game. Rapoport reported he could miss time, but there was no update on the star’s situation early Friday morning.

Carolina is 3-0 this season and will face the Dallas Cowboys next weekend.
