Lil Wayne, who was rumored for getting hitched in April after his Instagram post, finally cleared out all the speculations.
Apparently, “Look at me now” rapper Lil Wayne had shared a tweet back in April writing, “Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!!!! The Carters.” After his tweet, people started to believe that Wayne secretly got married to his current partner Denise Bidot, and the rumor spread like a forest fire.
However, the artist finally cleared everything on Thursday during his Instagram live along with Nicki Minaj. During their conversation, Minaj brought up the topic of Wayne’s April tweet and his wedding rumors.
Recalling the time, Minaj said, “The other day it was some tweets going on, and I was like, ‘Oh, what’s going on?’ and I texted you and I was like, ‘Oh, Congratulations. I can tell you’ve been in a good mood,'” said Minaj, 38. “And I said, ‘Congratulations,’ because I thought you had gotten married,” to which, Wayne responded, “I’m so glad you asked me that. I did not get married.”
Wayne then debunked the rumors and explained the tweet to Nicki their audience that he was in fact referring to his sons. Laughing at the situation, the 38-year-old rapper said, “I said ‘The Carters,’ and girl, that’s my damn sons, that’s my sons’ little name of their little group,”
Back in April, when Wayne posted that tweet, people had commented congratulating the rapper on his ‘wedding’. Many comments read, “He just got married”; “Happy married life”; “Congratulation Tune” etc. While some of the fans were quite surprise about Wayne’s rumored ‘wedding’ or ‘engagement.’
However, this is not the first time that Wayne and Denise’s relationship has been a subject of such rumors. In Novemeber 2020, the couple was rumored to have separated due to Wayne’s endorsement of then-President Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 election.
To sum up, Lil Wayne has not tied the knot yet. The rapper is currently in a happy relationship with model Denise Bidot. The couple is deep in love, and their social media speaks of their love. In April, Wayne had shared video of Bidot writing their names in the sand, with Wayne singing in the background, “Okay, you wanna talk about it / Let’s write our names in the sand / Draw a heart around it, yeah.”
