Pitch Perfect: A brief details and cast!

Pitch Perfect is an American musical comedy film. The film is directed by Jason Moore, written by Kay Cannon, and produced by Paul Brooks, Max Handelman, Elizabeth Banks. The story follows Barden University’s all-girl a cappella group. They compete against another Cappella group from their college to win Nationals. The film premiered on September 24, 2012, in Los Angeles. The film was released on October 5, 2012, in the United States and received positive reviews from critics. The film grossed over $115 million worldwide and had two sequels Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017).

The casting of Pitch Perfect –

The casting department included Rich Delia, Michael Roth, Justin Coulter, Allison Estrin. Producer Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins appear throughout the film as commentators for the competitions. As per the update from the producers, they were looking for actors with comedic instincts. The character Beca required someone with a strong point of view on the world, funny and empathetic. Anna was the 1st choice to play Beca. Producer Brook saw Anna in Up in the Air.

For Jesse, the producers were looking for young, awkward but not a geek guy but not so cool. Skylar Astin was chosen for the role. Rebel Wilson was auditioned for the role of Fat Amy and was selected. She was selected because of her performance n Bridesmaid. Adam DeVine was chosen for the role of Bumper by Banks and Handelman after they saw him on the TV series Workaholics. Initially, he didn’t accept but later did. For the role of Aubrey, Anna Camp was chosen
