“Dune” by Dennis Villeneuve featuring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya was one of the most awaited and anticipated movie of 2020. But, the fans will have to wait even more as the release date of the movie has been further delayed.
Originally set to be released in 2020, Dune was moved to 1st October 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, the film is going to make it’s audience wait for longer. The new date for the release of Villeneuve’s “Dune” has been scheduled for 22nd October 2021.
The film will premier simultaneously in theaters and HBO Max.
“Dune” is one of the movies that have been postponed again by Warner Bros. including “Cry Macho”, which has been moved to September 17th, and “The Many Saints of Newark”, which will release on 1st October.
Though the release date has been changed, but Dune is still scheduled to have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival in September.

With the change in release date, fans are a little bit disappointed, but the excitement remains the same. One of the Twitter users wrote, “WB quit fu***ng around with Dune dates”, while other user wrote, “Push back the Dune release date one more time @warnerbros I fu**in dare you.”

However, most of the fans are excited with the news as the new release date of Dune has aligned with the release of various other awaited movies. The movie Dune will now release along with “The French Dispatch”, “Last Night Soho”, “Jackass 4” and others. Hence, people are excited as these great movies are releasing together in the same weekend.

It certainly is a good news for Timothée Chalamet’s fans, who will get to see their favurite star in two movies one after the other in “Dune” and “The French Dispatch.”
